We have been in the
Canaan breed since 2000 and are committed to this wonderful breed.
Our intent is to produce quality Canaans that we feel conform to the breed
standard and are happy healthy representatives of the breed. We verify that
our adult dogs have all the necessary health clearances such as hips and
thyroid certified by the OFA as well as eyes certified by CERF prior to
breeding them. Our puppies are raised in our home using the Monks of New
Skete methods and socialized with our children. The puppies receive
vaccinations, veterinarian health check, and microchip (permanent ID) before
going to their new homes.
We belong to both Canaan
Clubs in the US – ICDCA (Israel Canaan Dog Club of America – UKC) and CDCA
(Canaan Dog Club of America – AKC).
I am the Midwest
coordinator and Vice President for the Canaan Dog Rescue; Versatility and Awards Chair for the ICDCA;
Vice President of ICDCA; and editor of
the ICDCA newsletter, Desert Tracks.
When we have litters, we
are particular about the homes our puppies go to. We try to evaluate each
puppy’s personality by observing them during their development while at
play. We also try to match the puppy to the buyer to produce the best
situation for both the puppy and their family.
