04/19/09: 10 month old Flower earned her first major (3 points) by going Winners Bitch and Best of Winners at the Waterloo Kennel Club in Waterloo, IA.  Flower was also best bred-by-exhibitor Canaan dog and went on to compete in bred-by-exhibitor group earning a GROUP 2! Flower's littermate, Mowgli, received a major Reserve Winners Dog.

01/18/09: 7 month old Flower earned 2 points by going Winners Bitch and Best of Winners at the Mid Iowa Kennel Club in Des Moines, IA.  Flower's littermate, Mowgli was Reserve Winners Dog.

01/04/09: Simba earned 1 point by going Winners Dog, Best of Winners, and Best of Breed at the Land O' Lakes Kennel Club in St. Paul, MN.

01/02/09: Mira won Best of Breed and then went on to acquire two new titles; Canine Good Citizen (CGC) and Therapy Dog (TDI) at the Land O' Lakes Kennel Club in St. Paul, MN.

06/07/08: 3½ year old Taavi earns completes his Rally Advanced Excellent (RAE) title at the Farmington, UT show.  Way to go Taavi and owner Risa Baumrind!

05/03/08: 3½ year old Libby finished her AKC championship going Winners Bitch at the Midwest Canaan Dog Club Specialty weekend in WI...all from the Bred-By-Exhibitor class.  Libby is our first homebred champion.

04/06/08: 3 year old Taavi earns the first two legs towards Rally Advanced Excellent (RAE) title placing in 3 out of the 4 tests at the Las Vegas shows over the weekend.  Way to go Taavi and owner Risa Baumrind!

01/20/08: 3 year old Libby earns 1 point by going Winners Bitch at Central Iowa Kennel Club in Des Moines, IA.  Libby now has 14 points towards her AKC championship...all from the Bred-By-Exhibitor class.

01/06/08: 3 year old Taavi earns Rally Excellent (RE) title.  He earned 2^nd place for the first two legs and finished the title with a 1^st place.  Great job Taavi and owner Risa Baumrind!

10/27/07: one day before her third birthday, Libby gave birth to three beautiful puppies (two boys and one girl).

10/16/07: nearly 3 year old Taavi earns Rally Advanced (RA) title.  Great job Taavi and owner Risa Baumrind!

08/12/07: 2½ year old Velvl earns 1pt by going Winners Dog at the Freeborn County Kennel Club in Albert Lea, MN.  His littermate, Libby got Winners Bitch and beat her brother Velvl to get Best Of Winners and earn 2pts.

07/15/07: Our pups do a great job at the United German Shepherd Dog Alliance UKC Shows

  • Mira earns Reserve Champion of Champions at Show #1 and Show #2

  • Libby earns Reserve Best Female at Show #1 and Best Female & Best of Winners at Show #2

  • Velvl earns Reserve Best Male at Show #1

07/13/07: What a day!  This was the 14th Annual ICDCA Specialty held in Minneapolis, MN and a tremendously wonderful Friday the 13th!

  • Mira earns Best of Breed at the 2007 ICDCA Specialty.

  • Mira earns Best Brood Bitch and Mira's sire (AKC/UKC CH Kochav Ole me Shaar Hagai CD) earns Best Stud Dog at the 2007 ICDCA Specialty.

  • Talie (with Mira's help) wins Best Junior Handler at the 2007 ICDCA Specialty.

02/07: Libby and Velvl receive CHIC registration for passing all five health tests with flying colors.

12/14/06: 3 month old Simba joins our pack...all the way from Israel.

10/22/06: 23 month old Taavi earns CGC (Canine Good Citizen) and Rally Novice A (RN) titles at the Del Valle Dog Show in Pleasant, CA.  Great job Taavi and owner Risa Baumrind!

09/17/06: 22 month old Libby earns 2 points by going Winners Bitch and Best Of Winners at Rochester Minnesota Kennel Club in Rochester, MN.

09/10/06: 22 month old Velvl earns his third 3 pt major by going Winners Dog and Best of Opposite Sex at the Des Moines Kennel Club in Des Moines, IA.  His littermate, Libby got Winners Bitch and beat her brother Velvl once again to get Best Of Winners and also earn a 3pt major.  We are so proud of these pups!  Photos coming soon.

09/09/06: 22 month Taavi earns his first leg towards a Rally Novice A title in Salt Lake City, UT.  Great job Taavi and owner Risa Baumrind!

08/13/06: 21 month old Velvl earns his second 3 pt major by going Winners Dog at the Kennel Club of Freeborn County in Albert Lea, MN.  His littermate, Libby got Winners Bitch and beat her brother Velvl again to get Best Of Winners and also earn a 3pt major.  What a great way to follow last week's accomplishments!  Photos are in the Photo Album.

08/06/06: 21 month old Velvl earns a 3 pt major by going Winners Dog at the Coulee Kennel Club in La Crosse, WI.  His littermate, Libby got Winners Bitch and beat her brother Velvl to get Best Of Winners and also earn a 3pt major.  What a great show day!  Photos are in the Photo Album.

05/22/06: 1½ year old Taavi from our 2004 litter earned a new title of CDCA HC (Herding Certified) at the 2006 CDCA National Specialty and received the Best Rookie Herding Potential Award.  Congratulations to Taavi and his owner, Risa!

10/09/05: 11 month old Velvl earned his first AKC point by going Best of Opposite Sex over a Champion at the Wright County Kennel Club show in MN.

09/18/05: 10 month old Libby earned a new title of CDCA HC (Herding Certified) at the 2005 CDCA National Specialty and received the Best Rookie Herding Potential Award.

07/24/05: 8½ month old Libby earned Best Female over tough competition at the CATS UKC show in Lake Elmo, MN.

05/27/05: Talie (with Mira's help) wins Best Junior Handler at the 2005 ICDCA Specialty.

05/06/05 - 5/08/05: Libby was shown for the first time at the Madison, WI shows.  She earned Reserve Winners Bitch the first two days of showing, and received a Best Puppy award on the last day...not bad for a novice 6 month old puppy!
